The Glazing Shop is a leading supplier of Glazing Bar, Polycarbonate Sheet and Roof Kit and offer high quality aluminium glazing bar systems plus a full range of accessories and trims which are manufactured in the UK and supplied to the trade primarily via their ecommerce platform.
This complex and extensive website promoted an expansive product range along with a number of custom functions and Magento plugins. The platform was outdated and required an upgrade. Working closely with our UK development team led by the project delivery team a meticulous assessment was undertaken of the existing platform, supported by their inhouse web developers and administrators who required additional technical expertise to undertake this complex upgrade and enhancement.
Following the initial assessment, a project plan was established which would cater for the upgrade from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2.4, custom Magento Theme design & development, integration of multiple plugins including Trustpilot and a Magento Blog. Alongside this and the full migration of all content, copy, imagery and documentation the platform also hosted a number of complex “Product Builders” which enable the user to customise fabricated roofing kits. Pricing calculators with rules engines underpin these “Product Builders” and required 100% accuracy across all product ranges.
